MORE CAKES TOMORROW! We still have lots of cakes left, so will be holding another cake sale tomorrow after school (there's too many for the staff to eat- and that's saying something)! Thank you so much to all who have bought one so far, we truly appreciate it !

On Monday, the staff will be holding a cake sale to raise money for the Church, who have been incredible as we navigated the time without two of our classrooms. This will take place straight after school, and we hope to see you there!

Some of our year 6 class had a great start to the week with a Cookery lesson at Woodroffe, led by their Food Technology teacher. They learned how to safely use a grill - as you can see they were pretty happy with the results! Thank you so much to Woodroffe School for making this happen. The rest of the class will get to do this next week!

Year 5 and 6 were very excited to meet Emma Carroll today, who gave some fantastic writing tips as well as introduce them to her new book. It was a fantastic experience and lots of the children got their own signed copy of the book! Thank you so much to Woodroffe for inviting us!

On Friday, we will be having our first 'Stop the Clock' day of the year, where we stop our learning and focus on a different theme for the day. We will be learning all about #HelloYellow, which raises awareness for mental health in young people. We are encouraging the students to come to school wearing an item of yellow - a cardigan, socks, hairband etc with the rest of their normal school wear. We are incredibly grateful to some of our Year 6 children who joined Miss Stapleforth at the Minster Church on Sunday. Bishop Mike, from the Exeter Diocese, led a sermon at the church for a first time, to open their new facilities. This was a very exciting opportunity for our school, as our children were able to read part of the service to the congregation. Bishop Mike was kind enough to give us a tree to plant too!

We had a fantastic start to our week with a visit from Catherine, who works at the Bridport and Lyme Regis Library. She informed the school of the new Summer reading challenge, which starts right away. We then watched some amazing musical performances with the help of Laura. What a fab morning!

🐰 Rabbit Fundraiser – Today at 3:30pm! 🐰 We’re looking forward to seeing you all today at 3:30pm for our Rabbit Fundraiser – a fun-filled afternoon packed with rabbit-themed activities, all just 50p each! (Each class have made their own activity, there will be lots to do!)
